Why isn't the storage facility stepping upon that? Aren't THEY insured against theft within their place? I would ask them about that. They should accept some liability since they have the place wired and locked. How many others have been broken into there. If a lot, it may indicate an "inside job" or lack of awareness. Ask if they have made police reports. Or call the police and ask them.

Very soory to hear about your loss.
This is another good reason to keep parking mine in my back yard, with two large dogs (Bull-Mastiff and St Bernard) running loose, and several guns in the house...
Female Bull Mastiff (her name is Lucy and when she is in trouble we add Furr after Lucy) is VERY protective.

We park ours at home and it was burglarized last october right in our driveway. The thiefs did us a favor and stole the cheapo home theatre but then came thru one of our houses windows and ransacked our home. Dumb punks stole my wifes cellphone and used it to call for a ride so now their doing 5-7 for a class b felony(they stole weapons). Anyway, too little too late we ended up installing an alarm system in our home and as a supplement to that system we leave a wireless motion detector on the kitchen table of the 5th wheel and its coded in the alarm system as its own active zone. If the door opens when its armed, our home alarm sounds and the police are called.

I'm gonna park my new Fifth Wheel in the driveway behind my house. If anyone breaks into it I sure hope I don't put any holes in it when I pump 15 rounds out the back door at em!!!!

snownyet; that is the greatest idea. we have a house security system and I never thought of that wirless device to "extend" the system to the RV. Great thinking!

We had our 5er burglarized in our driveway. All they got was the DVD player but all the drawers were opened and everything eschew. We picked up an infrared detector liked used for drive way alarm. Installed near the door inside the RV they put the receiver in the house. It has a range of about 100 feet. You can pick these up for about 15 dollars at Harbor Freight.

One more reason to get a fiver rather than a MH. No gas to steal.
Very sorry it happened. And no you never quite lose the feeling of being violated. Ours was (ahem) 10 years ago and I still double check all the doors and windows when we leave.
We store ours in a fenced field next to our house. I think I'll put a Bull in there as a burgular alarm
Fun is that stuff that happens in between mistakes.
