Did any Weekend Warrior SLC owners get a notice from WW about a recall related to lighting?
If my assumption is correct, when I replaced the tail lights under the ramp with LED's, I realized that not only did the LED's not have reflectors in the lens, but neither did the factory lenses. I went and added the white and red reflective tape that the truckers use (I think I bought it at home depot or walmart) so I could be seen if the plug comes out or I have to leave it on the side of a roadway at night. I will call them tomorrow to verify what the repair calls for.
I may have discovered what the descrepancies are.... NHTSA requirements
Look at the last table... I may be getting more reflector tape.

I ordered my '04 FR CT with the Optronics LED lamps option....after finishing the conversion to TH, I got pulled over here in NY....no DOT required reflectors anywhere in the red lens!!!! (Actually---they don't have to be in the lens, but most assemblies have built-in reflectors) BUT, Optronics sells a replacement reflector bezel---replaces the chrome finish plastic bezel.....
POOF! NOW I'M LEGAL AGAIN!
Don't know if this fix works for you, but you might check the LED lamp mfg..

Weekend Warrior was informed that their trailers built before the 2007 model year, may not have enough clearance lights. For the trailers that were sent the notice, Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS 108) require that there be a red 3 light bar above the ramp door, top center on the back of the trailer. This light may be 1 assembly with 3 bulbs in it or 3 assemblies with one bulb each. The center bulb must be on the center line of the trailer. The light tells all other motorists that your trailer is over a certain width.
If you have a trailer that is what Weekend Warrior calls a 2800 or larger, the Fed's also require an amber light at the "mid point" of the trailer. This light will be just in front or on the fender flair itself on both sides. These lights tell others that your trailer is over 30 feet tip to tip. The smaller trailers do not require the "mid point" light because they are less than 30 feet.
Weekend Warrior will work with any service center to have the recall performed. As with any recall, the customer may make the final decision whether or not to have the "fix" installed.
I hope this helps everyone understand what these letters really meant.

The conspicuity tape you added meets the reflector requirements. Essentially, the rear must have a red facing reflector on each side visible from 500'. The tape will meet that requirement. The reflectors don't have to be part of the taillight.

Bryan and others -
Might want to look closely here -if you want to fully meet FMVSS 108 standards -especially if you have a > 30' length trailer that is > 80" wide and or > 10,000 lb GVWR.
You need all 12 items as stated in the link posted above
Link above again
We just bought a Ragen FA3005 and it doesn't actually meet the FMVSS 108 standards So will be contacting Ragen concerning this issue and a couple of others.

COSPICUITY REFLECTOR TAPE:
"especially if you have a > 30' length trailer that is > 80" wide and or > 10,000 lb GVWR."
Trailers 80" W or greater require items 1-8 ONLY. They DO NOT need conspicuity reflector tape.
Trailers 80" W or greater AND 10,000# GVWR or greater require the addition of conspicuity tape.

So in essence, almost all toy haulers will are required to have both the lights and the tape being they are over the 80 inch rule and the 10,000 Gross limit. About the only units exempt will be some of the "ultra" lites.
