Hey all,

I have the Eqaulizer 1000/10,000 hitch and I am wondering whats the socket size for the bolts that maintain the pressure on the spring bars at the head. The nuts that are supposed to be tightened often to maintain sway control, should be like 45lbs to 60lbs of torque. The downloadable manaual doesn't say and my instruction book is in the trailer at another location. If you can tell me I would appreciate it, Thanks Bill.

from installation manual.. don't know which one you need.. you may recognize it.
"The following tools will allow you to install the hitch properly.
1 1/8” Box End Wrench (Shank Bolts)
1 1/8” Socket (Shank Bolts)
(2) 3/4” wrenches (Link Plate Bolts)
5/8” wrench (Angle Set Bolt, Square Head Set Screw)
M M"

Ya those tools listed are used to assemble the hitch. I got a deep 1 inch socket today at Sears and that seems to fit the adjustment nuts just fine. Thanks!

I believe the size on mine are 15/16". I set these bolts on my 1400 model to 65# of torque.
