We are looking for a TV to wall mount in our 5er. 19 - 26" HDTV. Would like to have a dependable unit. Our TV viewing is mostly news but we watch movies and our own DVD's I will be getting a HD camcorder next. So being able to play back the days clips (through the camera or PC) is a big requirement. Have done a little shopping and not finding much available in that size range. Most of what I see are brands I have never heard of before.
Any suggestions?
thanks

I prefer the picture of the Samsung units. I looked at a lot and the picture really does vary as you go down in price. The Samsung I got wasn't the cheapest, probably near the top in price, but if you like a good picture, it is worth it. Oh, mine is an LCD.

Wall mount? You've found studs I hope, the walls themselves aren't strong. Samsung, Sony are good. I have a 26" Sony Bravia.
Buying HD is not that easy- I suggest you google some HD buyers' guides and read them.

Yep a wall mount. Hartland puts a block in the wall above a cabinet that most people would put their TV either on or above it. They say up to and including a 26" flat screen.
I had a wall mount in my previous 5 er, but it was a 15 " set and I braced up the wall. Went to Alaska and back without a hic-up.

I put a Samsung 23" in Bertha the Bounder to replace the heavy 20" Panasonic that was originally installed. I picked the Samsung because it had Auto Volume control and a reasonable price and a GREAT picture. Auto Volume does not work worth a flip but I may be doing something wrong. It is held up with four 4 mm bolts to the VESA mounting holes in the back of the set. I did put a reliever block at the bottom to take some of the shock of bouncing down the road. IT TESTED SATISFACTORILY ON NEW YORK I-81 WHICH IS ROUGH AS A COB!!.

Personally I prefer the pictures on the Sony and Samsungs, but I am having to go with what fits best in my existing cabinets. A good site that gives user reviews of HDTV's that you may be considering is www.cnet.com. I was ready to purchase a Samsung for the stick house but found on Cnet that that model had a software problem that would not be corrected until the new models this Spring, so I purchased the Sony BRV instead.
