Purchasing a new 2009 Toyota Corolla automatic. Will be towing on a dolly. Will my odometer rack up the miles with only the rear wheels on the ground? Toyota service was unable to answer this question?????

Really!!!??? They do not have their's system yet for the 2009 models? It used to be that they are comparable in group of 4 years. I'm not sure if they still do that. But if so, then are the 2008 the same setup? If so, where is the speedometer at in the 2008 manuals or models? If I remembered correctly, they are normally in the drivetrain area being electronic now and all. Which means, it should be a front wheel drive and it's up on the dolly... Unless the ABS are reporting movement on rear wheels now to the ECU. JMHO!!!

I think that Corolla is front wheel drive so, with the front wheels on the dolly not rolling along on the ground there can be NO miles racking up.
We towed a 2002 Corolla manual trans 4 down and the miles piled up pretty quickly.
good luck and enjoy your ride.
