I went to investigate a loud racket, and it was a woodpecker that became convinced that there was another one inside this trailer. He would peck on the metal electrical box, then fly to the window to see the other woodpecker (which was his reflection), then he would peck and peck on the window.

What's interesting is that not too long ago someone posted that a woodpecker had destroyed an RV window.

Sorry, I had to remove the photo/video 'cause it was allowing the viewing of all my photobucket albums.

Perhaps you can put something inside (or outside) the window that will prevent the reflection. I'm sure it's thinking it's another woodpecker. Pecking on things that make a loud noise is a territorial move, and it thinks it's defending its territory in your window. Good luck!

It's that time of the year for woodpeckers, they are doing mating calls. We have a few in the area, one is pecking on the house at about 5:30 a.m. for the past week. His life is going to come to an abrupt halt if he keeps it up...

Mine finally went away. I guess he or she found a mate but he made a mess of the TT in the meantime. I have had to wash it twice in the last month and need to do it again.

I used to be deathly affarid of woodpeckers. But that was back when my leg was made of wood, now with titanium, I fear no woodpecker. Did I hear thunder?
