We just got back from Custer State Park. Stayed at Gamelodge Campground. It was just about full over the weekend but only three class A's a hand full of big 5fer's the rest were small camper's or tents. Most were from SD. We had some good tailwinds and were loaded lighter than most of our trips and the MPG improve over our last trip there. From the traffic on I-25 all of CO went to WY for some cheaper fuel.

55 will increase mileage. How much increase ya'll think you realized ? I've started doing 60 even not towing.

While pulling trailers in the past I drove the speed limit 60, 65 and yes even 70

last trip to Florida pulling TT I drove 55 most of the time and never over 60.

Biggest surprise was time I seemed to get to my site about the same as driving at higher speeds,

maybe the old tortoise and hare thing.

mileage not so much but I felt more rested when I arrived.

We tried a different campground this holiday weekend and a wonderful time. When i was looking for reservations they were all full within a 3 hr drive from home. Like many, we saw lots of campers out on the road traveling this weekend.

We arrived home yesterday BOOHOO, cant wait till father's day for the next trip. Had a great time at Tropical Palms in Old Town Fl, near Disney. I never knew there was so much to do without spending money on the big theme parks. We all had a great time.

Every trip is as exciting as the first!!!

We were at our favorite CG this weekend and I comented to our camping group "It's a good thing the economy is good and fuel is cheap or this place would be empty!"Man it was packed...big to small every site, and we went down to office to make sure we had a spot for Labor Day...they were going fast..it aint dead yet!
