Great news Tony! It would be a shame to see all that great work go up in smoke. Hope you're back up and running soon.

Well I'm now being told it may be the weekend at the latest before it's back up and running. Some new things are being added to the server and being bolted down tight. Might as well do it right while it's down now. Almost there.

firedude glad to hear you didn't lose everything. I keep a copy of my web sites on my computer as well as the web. All the work is done locally and then it's uploaded to the web. That way there's always a copy somewhere so it won't get lost.
And as a suggestion to everyone as this is an issues I run into with customers all the time - I BACK UP MY ENTIRE HARD DRIVE at least once a week. Hard Drives crash so if you don't want to loose everything on your computer it pays to have a backup.

Thanks trkrhelp. My situation wasn't just about backup unfortunately. My situation involved my server being "garbled" up and to the point we thought there may be hardware issues/failures. Luckily no. As far as the website data it was backed up. You bring up some good points, thanks! Being the owner/operator (my bro and I)of my server makes things a bit more complex in that I don't have an ISP to yell at or scream for help lol. We just about have 'er back. Hopefully by this evening. Just taking longer to bullet proof things the way we want them.
As far as data backups we do them to DVD's regularly. Keeps the mid more at ease.
