I'm going to replace all the PEX plumbing in my coach, for a variety of reasons. I've used the plastic SeaTech connectors and elbows for repairs, and really like them. I'm aware of the precautions, e.g. use a PEX pipe cutter, insure pipe exterior is smooth, etc., having learned each precaution the hard way.
I won't use the dreaded crimp rings, so it's down to SeaTech or the more expensive metal Shark Bite products. I'll need dozens of couplers, Tee's, and elbows, so I don't want to jump to the wrong decision.
Does anyone have experience with widespread use of either the SeaTech or Shark Bite products?
Thanks for any shared endorsements or regrets -- Wayne.
Having a plumbing co. we use the shark usually in hard to get places (wall, under concrete floors or slow draining water) very expensive ! if you can rent the tool and use the correct connections in areas that you can do it correctly

Being a mobile home repair guy I see a lot of pex. I use flair it fittings at half the cost, the only thing is you need to warm up the pipe end to push it on the barb easily then they are good to go. Get mine at mobile home supply or local Ace hardware.
I, too, use the Watts fittings that I can get at my local Lowes for any modifications I do to our motorhome's plumbing. They are pricey, but for the few connectors needed, the ease of use, PLUS the ability to "reuse" them and reposition pipes once they're connected, it makes it easy for us "less than professional" to do tricky plumbing jobs.

The majority of newer motorhomes now use the SeaTech type fittings on the Pex plumbing and no longer use the crimped rings. Don't know if it was for a cost savings in labor. I have used the SeaTech in the past and had never had a leak after several years. Also the SeaTech fittings allows the Pex piping to rotate in the fitting allowing for a neat flat finished look without twisting the pipe.
