My DW was taught along time ago how to back a trailer. ANY Size... She once put the pontoon trailer inbetween two others at a 3 wide ramp. IN A DOWN POUR!!! I tooted the horn, she stopped. Drove on teh trailer and out of thewater in less than 5 minutes. The other two were still there TRYING to get on the bunks...

She drove our long TT most of the way to Montana back in 04. I didn't mind one bit.

I made sure she was comfortable in towing "The Beast"...

My $.02...

Glad to see you helped no matter what her reasons for asking...

hopefully she took notes though so next time she can do it herself. I think that is what is the sad thing; lack of educating herself to be able to do it or at least try.

I'm really amazed by the number of people (both mend and women) who think that just because I'm a woman, that I can't or shouldn't be towing and backing up our trailer. I figure I educated myself, I've done some practicing to where I feel comfortable and I understand the ligistics of how the trailer will move when I turn the wheel one way or another going forward or back. I just got back from a weekend without my dh where I towed the trailer for 2 hours each way in some more than perky winds, and backed it in, got it out, dumped the tanks, set up the awning, blah blah blah all by myself with no injuries to either me, my twins or my rig. Some DH's co-workers can't believe he let me out of the yard. He just laughs and reminds them that I am woman educated, here me roar...lol.

Most RVer's are nice people. Your wife should be proud of you.

Certainly nice of you and certainly the way to be.
BUT:
If a person can't back up their rig, they should not be driving it. (period)
YIKES I'm glad you don't make the rules or else a lot of nice people that can't backup wouldn't be able to go camping. She should have made arrangements before hand to have one of her friends help.

Lets face it, he does not know how to back-up a TT either.

Why not leave religion out of it as it has absolutely no connection with RVing whatsoever.

Neither does sacrilegiousness. And the "He" should be capitalized.

I think the point of the post was simply that the OP did the right thing, by treating others the way he would want to be treated, and the way Christianity teaches us to act.
