My Newmar should arrive in a couple of weeks. I'm buying it at a dealer in MD, so I need to get it inspected in VA. Where is a good place? I live in Springfield and will store the beast in Woodbridge.

I get mine inspected at a truck/auto service center. Look for a service center and call to see if they do inspections.

Why would the state of VA need to inspect a brand new MH?
I'd be shocked and stunned to hear they only want money...

Cravens Tire on Rt 29 near the Fairfax Government Center. Perhaps the state can tell you of other closer inspection stations.

Well, you have to have a valid inspection sticker on your windshield. A cop seeing you drive by doesn't know if you're in a 2008 or a 2006.
I've only lived in PA and VA, and both require valid inspection stickers even for brand new vehicles.
MD is the strangest. You have to get the vehicle inspected when you buy it, and then never again as long as you own it.

I was just there this weekend stocking up with a gift certificate my brother gave me. That's not too bad of a drive.
There are some large truck repair shops here in the Newington area that I'll have to check out.

I know that Mike at premire RV in Marshall VA can do it. There is also a truck repair place in chantilly but you have to pull into his bay....It is back off route 50 right past rt 28 which is closer than manassas.
