If a campground says they have cable connections does that mean I have to bring a cable to hook up to their connection to get t.v. service? I assume if they say they have wireless I could use my computer laptop without a connection.

Yes, bring your own coax to hook up to their cable service.
Yes, you can hook up to the wireless with your laptop if you have a wireless card installed.

Usually your required to have your own cable, although I have been in some parks that have a pig tail connected to their system that will reach your rig. Some will loan/sell you a piece of cable if you need it. I always carry 25' section. You use your own laptop for their WIFI. Not all WIFI is created equal and not all WIFI is free. Good Luck

And one other note, just because they have wireless available, doesn't mean it's free.

Our experience has been that few campground owners are computer geeks, so it is common for the wifi to either be out or not reach all of the cg. The cable works more frequently, but you do need your own coax for most places.

Yes, its not expensive and doesn't take up a lot of space so I just always leave a 25' length in the camper all the time just in case.
