I thought I'd post a message showing how I have been able to add technology to my 2007 Damon Challenger.

This first picture shows my Garmin 7200 GPS mounted to the left of the dash. It is in easy reach, and easy to see. I prefer the digital speedometer feature while driving. I also have a mount in my dingy when we get to camp. The garmin has music and books on its SD card and an XM antenna. The audio is patched to the MH in dash radio.
There is also a Garmin remote velcro'd to the dash within easy reach.
Also on the left is the Midland "all-in-mic" CB radio. I added a remote 3 socket 12V accessory panel on the lower left to plug these in to.

This next picture shows the right side of the dash. Visible is the Even-Brake system monitor and the remote for the in-dash radio. I use a 2 socket accessory adapter with an on-off switch.

The last picture above shows the left side of the driver's seat. I have installed a 10" snack tray, a cup-holder, and down low is a holder for my trip-log.
So-far I am very happy with this set-up.

Nice setup. Can you tell me anything about the snack tray/cupholders? Something like that could be very handy by the small sofa in my living room area.

What is the big egg-shaped speaker for? Is that for the Midland radio?

You have too many distractions to play with while you are driving. You are not as safe as you would like to think you are.

I believe both are being sold in the Auto Dept at Wal-Mart. CW may also offer the tray.

Nice installs but you need to use that MH more often and less time tinkering. I bet you are lost without all that technology

Like one of the others said about distractions, I hope that vehicle has an autopilot, surrounded by far too much "technology" to be paying attention to driving. A snack tray while driving?

Let's see... distractions?
My GPS is just below my line of site, not in the lower middle of the dash like so many new cars.
CB Radio is to monitor (listen for) traffic conditions, like so drivers many have used for over 30 years.
Even Brake monitor is also near the line of sight, and better than no brake at all.
Cup holders on my left are higher and easier to use than factory holders near the floor.
Snack Tray?. Safer than balancing a plate on my lap or up on the curved dash!
Oh yes, I just ordered a ScanGuageII to monitor engine conditions and MPG, now where can I put that? Maybe suction cups on the inside of the windshield a foot or so above the dash (like so many radar detectors).
A pillow for my head and some eye shades, and I'm all set...
