You went 8,749 miles, and your thread had 10,000 hits. Can you believe that each mile traveled, somebody was reading your story. What great (and cheap) entertainment for the rest of us. I'm anxious to read more of these adventure stories. Also enjoyed the one recently of the travel in Colorado.

Gulp - at $2.45 a mile, don't think we would have budged out of our driveway . 40.8 cents a mile was bad enough but what a trip. Just got home from having a steak dinner over the campfire with Farctic Ox and Cheryl at a campground right on the ocean here in Maine. They are the subject of a recent TC Magazine article (cheer, cheer) and we had a super time comparing places gone and seen out west. We'd hit a few they hadn't seen and vice versa. You meet the nicest people truck camping!!

My hat is off to you folks. Your trip may be duplicated, but your complete post...never. Total enjoyment to read and great pictures to look at. I just want to say thank you for your time and trouble, and you've given me a trip to shoot for, in reverse.

Good to read that you're back safe and sound. FYI: you guys single-handedly skewed the Western statistics for Trip Report entries!

Imagine that; Easterners skewing the Western trip reports

Cheers,

Hobo/Al - We'll be bringing a BIG tub full of brochures, state maps, national park brochures, etc. etc. with us to the fall rally. We collected at every state we entered except for Texas since they didn't have a welcome center as you entered TX. We really enjoyed talking with Farctic Ox and Cheryl last night about all the places in the west they had been and we had missed. Course we had a few for them also. We're back to normal life and are already itching to load the TC up again and hit the road.

Looking forward to seeing lots of RV.NET posters at the fall rally in New York.

Anne and Joe glad your home safe and sound need to take some prose courses from you. Hey if your itching to get back on the road come join me up here. Think you can catch me like Yellowstone LOL. I'll give you 2 weeks instead of 3 days. Talk to you all soon.
