Best way to describe it is a low buzzing sound/noise from the converter area when the coaches overhead lights are on or at times other items being used. I removed the panel and inside cover and it seems to be coming from something behind a panel I cannot see. Once the overhead lights are shut off, the buzzing stops. Any thoughts?

Transformer hum coming for the converter. If you wish to go thru a lot of trouble, you can mount it on some rubber pads or cushions. It's proberly mounted on a piece of pannaling and that will act as a sounding board. JM2Cents Bill

Nothing to worry about...this is normal. Just the fan kicking in to cool the inverter.

I have the same noise, so I went looking for it and it was coming from the transformer. I was satisfied and everything seems to be working good. Mystery solved for me!!

Mine starts making a lot of noise when we have a lot of lights on. I shut a few off and it gets quiet again. We typically do not need that much light just kids just do notalways turn off lights in there room or bathroom. Or if have a 2 bulb fixture I shut one off.

I can assure you it's not the fan. But the transformer hum is something I didn't think of. Sound goes away when say the overheads lights are shut off, then comes back when switched on. Sometimes it makes noise say if using a fair amount of current/juice. Startled me at first, for I expected flames to erupt anytime.
Thanks for the quick replies folks.

I still bet is the transformer fan. It depends on the load. Sometine if I plug my traier to shore power it will come on becsause of the load that it supplies to a low battery. The radio or tv usually keeps me from fixating on it.
