Not sure if this is the right section to post this. I noticed yesterday the housing on my Honda lawn mower has a 3" crack in the side. The mower is only about three years old and runs great. Can this be patched with anything? I'm assuming it's hard plastic of some sort.

Call a local independant lawn mower repair shop.
I had one (pot metal) that could not be repaired.

Even Pot metal can be repaired, any good welding shop that carries the aluminum welding rods can do it, can be done with a good propane torch with MAAP gas.

I went RVing to get away from lawn mowers and those other dastardly implements of suburban bliss. Give it to the Goodwill, and good riddance.

Some of the Hondas have a synthetic plastic type housing while others are metal. I would think if a plastic type you could repair the crack with epoxy. If metal then welding or JB weld might work.

Worse case.. pick up a junker mower from the trash and swap your Honda engine onto it..
I've done the opposite.. Snapper is on forth engine..

I agree with dclark1946.
Use JB Weld epoxy on the crack. Before applying it, drill a small hole at each end of the crack, to relive some of the stress. Make sure the surface is CLEAN, then mix up a batch and apply per the directions on the tubes.
Next, hire a kid to mow your lawn while your off in your RV.

Thank you fine gentleman for reading my question and replying with a serious answer. I'll check with the hardware store and see what they offer.
