Chuck, it's probably been a year or so since I've seen you and it's looking like there's a whole lot less to see! Congrats my friend.

strollin Thank you so much, how are you doing?

MikeSmith Thank you, it's taken work but I've tried to maintain a proper diet. Now if I could only get my butt up to the gym like I should.

Trlrboy Yep, I've gone from a size 56 waist down to a size 48! Yea! Please tell Patty HI from the two of us! And thank you or the congratulations!

Mandrake My friend, it's always so nice to hear from you. Thank you for the post and the encouragement! It's much appreciated!

Congratulations! You are doing an awesome job! And you are right, 2 lbs/week is a very healthy, and satisfying, rate! I started dieting in September and I am now down 60 pounds. I started out losing 10-11 lbs/mo, but it's slowing down now to 5-6. I want it to be more, but it sure beats gaining! I need to exercise more too.

Congratulations Chuck!! I stumbled across this thread earlier today AFTER I had made my decision to do the Lap Band surgery. I too have struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember and I finally said enough is enough. My surgery is scheduled for August 5, 2009 and I am counting the days till. I know some of the hurdles I will have to overcome, but reading through your posts has helped me anticipate some of them. Keep up the hard work and I will follow suit.

Sorry for the late reply. Nope, no problems at all if I eat correctly. Sometimes I don't and I get myself into trouble. Thanks for your post.

what happens when you don't eat correctly? just curious, we've got some potential lap band people here.

your food comes back up, breads and Pasta are usually a big no no for a lot of people, some foods work different for different people. Me, anything with a skin gives me trouble, it is nature of the beast. I had my band for almost 4 yrs and lost 140 lbs, I am very happy with the results.
