There are two KOA's nearby, as well as the American CG and Anvil CG (right nest to a RR track). If you are military or a DOD civilian, there is the CG at the Cheatham Annex of Naval Station Yorktown.
Have a great time!

Lots of choices/campgrounds in Williamsburg area, some better than others. As for being close to Busch Gardens, the closest is probably going to be Newport News Park Campground, they are right down the road from there. American Heritage gets good reviews here, and not too far way is Chipokes Plantation State Park (new loop added last year.

We stayed at the Colonial KOA last summer. Sites were way too small (close together, narrow) and they were way overpriced. we had a "super site" and felt we were totally ripped off. Would not stay there again.
Newport News is rustic. It has lots of trees and blacktop pads. It does not have sewer hookups and the bathhouses are not the best. No pool either. I do like this campground very much though. It is really quiet and has a great 5+ mile walking/bike path. Chippokes State Park is across the James River from Williamsburg in Surrey County. The new section is very nice but again, no sewer hookups. The bathhouses and laundry are great there. There is a nice pool that you use free when camping. You take the James River Ferry across to Williamsburg (free). Do not know how late the ferries run though and if you had to drive around to get back to the state park, it would be a long drive. Virginia Beach has First Landing State Park right on the Cheaspeake and Holiday Travel Park is pretty nice. Does not matter where you stay, traffic will be a nightmare. Better over towards Chippokes State Park as it is a rural area. Bring your walking shoes to Busch Gardens. It will be hot, humid, and hilly-also lots of fun.
