I'm a waver too.
I like to wave at ALL Rv'ers when we travel. We just purchased our new Jayco Jayflight 25RKS, so I am trying to be friendly and fit in. I will wave at everyone I see whenever possible.
I look at it as a nice gesture and a who knows, we might see each other at the same campground.
We may not have the same trailer or motorhome, but we are out traveling doing the same thing.
Happy Camping!!

I try to. Just the other day I saw a pup camper in our mall parking lot, and I waved at the people. They waved back. Whether or not they knew I was a camper, I don't know, I wasn't towing ours, but it was nice to wave at them and get a response.

Get off the interstate. We all wave around here and just about anywhere in Texas. However when we get on the interstate we gotta watch out for all them Yankees driving the whiteknuckle express :-)
Out on the rural highways you wave at everybody you are not currently mad at. "Trailering Texas" is right. It is just a polite finger lift, no big frantic wave. However you might tip your hat to a lady if you know her. Remember, No straws after Labor Day.

Most of you are old fartz like me and should know better - you were raised in a generation who thought of others, who displayed manners and courtesy, who were genuinely happy to see people and who thought of yourselves second, not first. I can forgive (almost) those generations that have followed us as they are primarily concerned with themselves to the exclusion of others. But you - and you know who you are - have no excuse. Don't just stare ahead when you pass a fellow RVer, wave your hand to say "hi". It will brighten up his day and may even improve yours. You might even try to smile every once in awhile. And, while we're at it, ask your wife to put a little less starch in your shorts. That will make it easier to raise your hand while you are seated.
So you are saying because you have an RV I should wave at you. What about the other "Travelers" who are not RVers should I just ignore them. Don't they deserve the same acknowledgment. Are they not good enough for a wave since they are not RVers. When I am driving around town and not at 65mph and I make eye contact with other people, either walking or driving I usually wave.

You can not tell me that you can see every driver of every Motor Home. They sit back to far and the windows have a tint and/or reflection that prevents you from seeing 98% of the drivers. And I can't see you wave, so how can I wave back?? And will you see me?? Do a test next time you are out. Don't wave, just tell me how many drivers you can see and can you even tell if they are male or female through the glare ect. If you are serious about waving, roll your window down and wave your arm out side the window, you might get a wave back, but not from me out the window, I don't drive with my window down, but I might wave from my hidden drivers seat through the glare but will you see me??. But I guess you wern't talking to me because I am not an old fart
