Us LAZY, BAD, MEAN, people work 50 hours a week are also firemen on the side and still have time to spend with family camping. Just remember if it was not for the next who would be around to do C.P.R. !! Happy Camping

A generation and a half, actually. I neither said nor implied that younger generations are lazy, bad, or mean. As for working 50 hours a week - oooohhhhh, I'm impressed! Every generation has done that and some have done more. Good for you for being a fireman, a noble profession. So is a policeman, soldier, retailer, physician, etc. You don't get a pass because of your profession. Be thankful that you have a job, a family that obviously enoys your company or they wouldn't be camping and live in a country that cares for individual's rights.

Waving is dependent on the area you are in. Down in Kansas rural areas you get a lift of the index finger off the steering wheel. Probably in certain large cities you will get a vigorous middle finger salute .

I wave to people in my local area who I know, but if I see you wave I might wave back, but generally miss it because I am concentrating on the road and views and not who is in the RV coming towards to me.

I always wave to fellow RVers, never could figure out why I never got a wave or knod back.

Seems like you have to be in the right club... Fellow Jeepers wave. I guess I'll keep waving and just maybe I'll get a wave back every now and then again....

WAving is my co-pilots job. But she is usualy sleeping or watching TV or reading. My job is to keep it between the lines and the rubber side down.

Next every PT Cruiser owner will want me to wave.

A wave, thumbs up, a smile, it's all good! It's a brotherhood we have, we're all in it together, doing what we like to do, travel and have fun!

I don't think that the OP said anything about the younger generation being lazy, bad or mean. As far as you working 50 hours a week. In 1968 I hired out on the railroad in train service and we worked 16 hours a day (112 hours week) at one time I done this for 72 days straight. What does being a part time fireman have to do with waving when you met another RV?? I guess I'll just keeping waving when I want!!!

I try to. Just the other day I saw a pup camper in our mall parking lot, and I waved at the people. They waved back. Whether or not they knew I was a camper, I don't know, I wasn't towing ours, but it was nice to wave at them and get a response.

After you left the PUP people asked each other "who the heck was that?"

I am too crotchety to wave to strangers.

If I wave, you might want to become my friend. My list of friends is full. And these are the people I wave to. Am not taking on any new friends at this time. Same reason I don't shake hands with a new acquaintance or a stranger.

I never wave. So sue me. But I will be first in line to help you with a problem at the campground.
