Made it to the CG Friday night late. TT was setup from Memorial Weekend. Saturday I was fixin to wash it up good. Noticed a nice big GASH starting right at the bottom of the door and extending all the way to the front edge. It was the piece that deflects the air UNDER the floor. It is completely cosmetic. Even the awning still works. I aproached CG MGT. They said the landscaping guy reported it to them Friday at closing. (He hit it with the zero-turn mower&the CG did call our house, but we already left). The say they will have the local RV dealer fix it when we decide to NOT CAMP for a couple weeks. It really was not a big deal to me, but the DW went ballistic. Anyway I think all will work out fine.

Sounds like the CG MGT has done the right thing, and will work to fix it. Accidents happen, what matters is what people do after the accident.

Hopefully it will be fixed up so it just becomes another campfire story!

Count your blessings. It's rare that people take responsibility for their actions in situations like this. You want to make sure it's fixed properly and to your satisfaction. Find out the reputation of the local RV dealer. Talk to them personally. Make sure the repair is done right. Good luck!

Great to hear that they were honest! I thought this story was going to have a different ending!

I think the CG deserves to have it's name mentioned here. It's rare to read a story like that anymore.

Are you kidding me.
I'd hire that guy in a minute. Yes, it's an unfortunate occurrence but if you have about 3 hours, I'll tell you the story of the contractor we hired to do a bathroom remodel at our stick and brick...
It cost us more to clean up his mess than it did to hire him in the first place..

As others have posted, count your blessings.

Same kind of thing happened to friends who finished their basement. The guy they hired to do the outside work (trenching, sump pump outflow, grading) left the sump pump outflow work unfinished, too close to the house. Big storms overnight - you guessed it, the basement flooded. Brand-new carpet & woodwork ruined. Guy came the next day asking for his check!!!

Stand up people! You should post the campground. That's the kind of people you want to do business with. I'd be balastic too, but they made a mistake, have owned up to it, and they are going to make it right. What more could you ask! Decent!
