Anyone stayed here? Site recommendations? Are looking to stay there over July 4th and they have some sites left - just want to be sure they aren't the dredges
We have stayed there before and it is one of the best, cleanest, and well managed KOA's we have ever seen. Nice young couple run it and they are very friendly and wecoming. The sites are tight but easy to access. It really is a nice place. Also far enough off the highway it is quiet.
I am not a fan of KOA's generally, but this was not only the nicest KOA that we've ever stayed at, but it is one of the nicest RV parks, period. I don't recall the site we had, but it was in the center "pull thru" section. That section is bordered by back-in sites on either side if I recall correctly, and all the sites are very spacious. I honestly don't think there is a bad site in the park, so I believe anyplace you stay will be more than acceptable. The owners are very pleasant and accomodating, and they keep the park absolutely spotless. They even went so far as to purchase imitation plastic rocks that fit over the sewer connection "so people don't have to look at that"! We stayed there in March on our way back from down south, and this will be a yearly stop for us each way from now on. And if we ever have occasion to stay anywhere within 50 miles of Wapakoneta, this will be our base of operations.
