Bought a Mobile Suite this weekend!

Some friends had the MS and were suddenly faced with taking care of their elderly Mom and since there wasn't adequate room for her they decided to sell. When they purchased it they had Double Tree custom design the kitchen, they claim there isn't another MS with the same kitchen. I've got tons of storage, something that was lacking in our OR. And did I mention we got a heck of a deal??!!!

I'll be sad on Sunday to see the OR go, but we had to have more of a f/t unit since selling our house last month. The MS was at the top of our short list.

Wish me luck, I've got tons of stuff still left to move and its going to be 95 here today.......

What a patriot you are. Doing your part to help the economy grow. I'm sure it won't stop there either. With new digs you have to get all new stuff. What fun! Best of luck to you. I must admit, I too am doing my part to fuel the economy. But then my husband would claim that that is an ongoing mission of mine, to single handedly spur on the economy. Yes, I want to do my patriotic duty to ensure that future generations of Americans can have a vibrant economy in which to live. Damn, I should go into politics!

How is this helping the economy? You got a cut-rate deal from a 'friend' that is suffering from a hardship. Again, how does this help the economy?

Shame on us! We should have just allowed the bank to call the note on the fiver instead of helping them out of the situation.

Ruth Anne, hubby swears I'm determined to help the economy at the same rate

And the serious answer is:
The money paid doesn't stop w/ the seller. He spends it on goods or services, and those folks spend it on more goods and services, and the money ricochets thru the local economy. That's how it helps!
(As well as being helpful to a friend in making a free market deal between a willing buyer and a willing seller.)
BTW, even if all he did was pay off the loan, that frees up the bank's funds for a new borrower to buy something else (not that I'm advocating unbridled consumerism...)

I agree, the OP. He's bragging about how he got a sweet deal from a 'friend' who is in a hardship.

Am I the only one that thinks that he took advantage of his 'friend'?

And, again, it has nothing to do with helping the economy.

How is this any different than the original post, except being more blunt:

"Dude, I just screwed over my pal who had to unload his RV, cheap, because his mom got sick and he needed money, quick, to take care of her."

From the original post:
