While setting up camp and balancing the sides of the trailer, should the front jacks also be considered for balancing (like by putting a block on one side). Sometimes the site are so unbalanced from front to back that the front sides need to be adjusted differently then the wheels. I have jacks that have holes about an inch and a half apart that a coter pin is inserted, but sometimes when I bring them down, they still are not prefectly adjusted to have the front jacks evenly go down.

The legs on the front jacks should be adjustable. There is a locking pin in them that you pull out and you can adjust each leg individually in order to level the front of the trailer . Some also use blocks for convenience. The pin holes are approx 1 1/2 inch apart so a 3/4 " thick block would let you level it closer. It can be an inch or so unlevel side to side and not hurt anything.

They should be pretty close or you are twisting the frame. I use a spacer block under the short side. They do make a screw type of adjustable foot for this purpose, but I like my blocks just fine. I carry three different thicknesses of 3/4 plywood....OK?..Brian

I had the same puzzling moment...3 thicknesses of 3/4 ply? What I suspect was meant was, 3/4 ply, tacked together into varying thicknesses. But I could be wrong. In the past, I've thought I was wrong but was mistaken.

If that wasn't clear, the answer is yes you should have them lifting together as they are not designed to lift the front by themself. I also use wood spacer when needed.

Ditto on the plywood thing but mine are 12" x 12" and I use them for the tires. One piece corrects one bubble off of level.

We carry a couple blocks of 6 x 6 x 12 to use as a base for the landing gear and also a couple pieces of 1/2 inch plywood. Drop the landing gear down to the 6 x 6's, raise them to the first click, then stuff as many 1/2" boards under each side that will fit. When done the most we are off is 1/2 inch.
We also carry a couple 1 foot square pieces of 3/4 inch ply. If we are really on unlevel or soggy ground we put down 2 6 x 6's side by side, then cover them with the 1 foot squares and let the landing gear down in the center of all that.
