We will be heading north from Topeka to a campground in Waco, nebraska tomorrow. We will be pulling our fifth wheel. We are
going to take 75 north to Nebraska City, then 2 west or 34 west to Lincoln. How is this route? Any suggestions. It is very windy here at this time. Thanks for the help.
the campground is the Double Nickle campground, just off I-80, 40 miles west of Lincoln.
The Roads will be fine but it will be windy up this direction AND we have had a LOT of rain in that part of the state lately and more is predicted tonight. Some Low Land Flooding throughout southeastern Nebraska is probable so just be careful. ACTUALLY winds predicted to 25 mph for Lincoln tomorrow.

dreamcamper,
I am not trying to be a smart guy but from the sounds of the weather warnings right now, your 5th wheel may end up somewhere in northern Nebraska long before sun up in the morning. Best hunker down on the northeast side of some 3 story brick complex. They are talking about some pretty high winds (70-110 MPH) and some potential tornados blowing through Topeka later on this evening.
Be careful, Larry

Thanks for the help. We made the trip today and the weather was beautiful. The road was nice. very scenic. unfortunately, the farmland in SE Nebraska is flooded everywhere.

Glad that you made the trip ok.
Yes we have sure had much more rain in the last few weeks than we need. Everything is just saturated and seems that before it half way drys out we get several more inches.
Enjoy your trip.
