Have had several travel trailers and for last 5 years 35 foot McKenzie 5er which is excellent product in my mind. However, due to length I am limited in lots of parks, including many State Parks. I am looking to go done to 28 total foot or maybe 29. Am interested in anyone who has a product in this range who thinks excellent product and service where needed. Appreciate any and all feedback and reccomendations.

Suggest you weigh the finances of selling yours and buying another. Seems to me the money lost on such a transaction will pay for a lot of larger private campgrounds. Just my $.03

Just an addition to Dick's post,
It is a buyers market not a sellers, so be careful.

You might want to look at the KZ Durango models. We have a 2008 KZ Montego Bay, our third 5er, and have been very happy with the unit. It's the best yet by far.

To answer your question and not make judgements on your decision, I would recommend you look at the Nuwa line of models. The Hitchhiker II series is extremely well made, relatively light, and has a good service record. The 29.5LKTG and 29.5FKTG are shorter (31') and can be towed with a 3/4 ton vehicle. Triple slides make these units very liveable. You can go to www.nuwaowners.org for a fairly unbiased forum of Nuwa owners. Good luck.

I would have to agree with lynndiwagon. Hitchhiker has a number of smaller good quality 5vers that would more then likely suit your needs. And from what I've read they have great after sale service.

I won't tell you to look at any thing except your decision to sell,I agree with Dick B, the money lost on depreciation and spent on a new model could be spent on a larger site with the Lakoda, that is unless you don't like the trailer anymore or there are issues with it?

There are some very nice shorter Hitchhikers, we have been very happy with our rig though not as short as your looking to be.
