Heinz, (Mountain Aire34),
Has suggested Newmar, I think they may make some good coaches also.
They have one called a Cypress that is 31 feet.
Next they have a Torrey Pine that is 33 feet.
Then they have one called a Kountry Aire, (I think that is right) 34 feet.
Hitchhiker makes a nice coach along with Carriage, and several others. You may want to check with Double Tree.
Of course a lot depends on your price range and if you are looking new or used.
I think if you did not mind posting your price range, that would help others to give you more ideas.
I will help in any way that I can.
Britt
PS. I think you you are wanting shorter lenghts and the above info may not be of help to you.
A product that I like is a Air Stream, Travel Trailer with the Hensley Arrow Hitch. I think it is about the perfect set up for State Parks.
What do you think?

No body has really mentioned a quality unit in the 28-29 foot range. Most of the manufacturers quit making decent units in that size and the "vacation" class rigs like Wildcat and Cougar seem to dominate. If you go back a few years Monaco made the McKenzie Medallion and HR Alumalite that both came in under 28 feet and I think were available with two slides from maybe 1999-2001. Alpenlite also made a pretty decent rig with either one or two slides from 1995-2001 or so. Alpenlite though is out of business. A step below in quality would be some of the Jayco, Sunnybrook, and Arctic Fox stuff from the same time frame. I remember seeing a Mckenzie Medallion from 2001 at an RV show that was only 27 feet and was very nice.Heres a Mckenzie Medallion for only $12K
and 29 feet

Does anyone actually read these posts anymore? So many of the responses were about units that were way over what the poster was looking for. Newmar??? Certainly an excellent product but I don't think they make anything under 34 feet in length.
Artic Fox makes a good four season fifth wheel and offer many models under 30 feet in length down to a 23 footer.

Please read my above post. It was in responce to Mountain Aire34.
As I noted, the OP wants shorter lengths. I think all of the responces are of good will, and no harm has been applied.
I hope that the OP is still reading this thread. I had asked a question and would like to know what he thinks and what direction that he may be headed towards.

Is Alfa still making 5th wheels..? I've been having problems getting on there site lately. All that has been coming up are dealers and motorhomes. If they are still in business, Alfa & Alfa Gold's are as fine a coach as any...At the Tampa RV Show my wife & I saw a beautiful 30'.. or so, foot Alfa, very impressive as was the new Teton that was also a 3/4 ton truck capable 5th wheel. Alpenlite (although out of business) & NuWa make models in the sizes you are seeking and again are considered a very fine 5th Wheel.
