All right you DIYers out there, I need some hep. (that's Southern for "help").
My pup has an small extinguisher mounted on the side of a cabinet right inside the entry door. It sits fully into the aisle. I'd like to mount it in a recessed hole in the cabinet. The recess would need to be one-piece, plastic tub with a surface mounting flange.
Anybody seen one for sale anywhere? A Google search produced nothing as small as I need.

PVC fittings at home depot, Lowes?
How about a fishing rod holder at wal*mart?
Can the holder you have now be moved and a new hole cut for it?
That's all I got, That's northern for "that's all I got".

We had this same issue a couple of years ago. The only solution we found was buying the extinguisher with the housing from the company that supplied them to a PU builder then. Sorry I can't remember the company name.

I know they exist, cause I've got one. Chalet RVChaletrv is a small builder w/ a personal touch. They may have a way to get you one. They've always been good to me, but then I do have a Chalet.

We have the same issue. I've not done anything yet, but have toyed with the idea of just taking out the holder and making my own out of plywood. I would keep it in the same place, just recessed into the cabinet.

As another poster said, his Chalet has one. My friend's Viking has one, too. It seems as if going to the manufacturer and asking them where they got theirs is the solution?

I know this isn't exactly what you are looking for, but its the first thing I found. I will keep looking. I grew up working in boatyards, and have installed those recessed extinguisher holders a couple of times.

My fifth wheeler's fire extinguisher is recessed in the wall but does not have a cover on it. you can release the quick release and grap it with one hand. The recess mount is plastic, and I have seen them mount into cabinets, can't seem to find a picture.

Check your local Jayco dealer. We've got a 10C and the extingusher is mounted in a little "cubby" that only allows about 1/2 the extinguisher to be exposed.
