famousperson wrote: For future reference, Don, how did you do that (make the url clickable)?!
First, copy the URL link. Then when you are in the "Post a Reply" (or "Post New Topic") window, look above it and you will see a row of small square box icons. 10 boxes down the row there is an icon of the world (blue) with a yellow double chain link in the lower right corner. Click on that and a small "Editor Functions" dialog box will come up. Paste the copied URL into the upper field and then click finish. This will insert a clickable URL link into your message.
Or you can do it manually by bracketing the "www.anywhere.com" with [url?] at the front and [/url?] at the end to turn it into a clickable link.
NOTE: REMOVE the ?'s from what I just posted when you do this. I had to put them there to keep RV.net from thinking that sentence was meant to be a link.

Cheers,

...actually on closer inspection it appears to be co-located in a mobile lunch truck that moves around the area from work site to work site. At night the driver takes it home with him.
So what does all this mean?
Should homeland security know? Oops! maybe they do?
What in the H3LL are we talking about???
What are we wasting non replacable bandwidth for???

Sleepy: your question about the meaning of all this is, well, meaningful. I'll take a whack at an answer:
-it could mean that some entity is pirating rv.net, and holding the proximity name for ransom
-it could be that rv.net itself is floating a trial balloon
-it could mean that some disgruntled rv.net employee is having some fun floating strange material at the expense of rv.net users
-it could be an rv.net evil twin emerging from Mordor to wreak havoc and confusion on unsuspecting RV forum participants
-it could be a tent manufacturers conspiracy to undermine RVing life itself, thereby bringing down the entire industry to be replaced by hordes of ecologically-minded backpackers...
I happen to think it is a great place nice people not worried about misspelllings just a bunch of folks that enjoy camping. I guess if you dont like it dont go there.

Actually, the server is in Toronto. The domain is registered anonymously (for a reason) in Atlanta GA. Ask me via PM how I know this if you want, as I don't wish to run afoul of the rules.
I don't understand why anybody would start a new forum, this one is very informative and fills the needs of all campers. I guess it's like Home Depot and Lowes next door, or WalMart and Target in the same shopping center. Somebody thinks they can do it better than the first one. Nobody has mentioned another forum iRV2.com. This one is also very small and completely unnecessary. Somebody let me know when Sleepy, 2Mainejacks, and a lot of others start posting there, and I will mark it as a favorite on my computer. Until then, I won't waste my time.
Why is another forum such a problem for people here?
It's about freedom of choice, isn't that what we all want?
I couldn't give a hoot of there were 1000 other forums out there.
I say, the more the better, fcol. :-)
Over the years, I have absorbed far more valuable, helpful info from people who had spelling and grammar issues, and much less formal education than I have from highly educated people... go figure.
