Hey, offthewall, remind me never to come to your dealership!! But, you are probably right, and I figured as much, which is why we are buying everything from the mom and pop shop and having them installed it as well.
I have no dealership but using simple logic. A guy who's in business selling and installing RV parts is not going to be happy installing an online dealer's parts. The online dealer probably has far less overhead or is even drop shipping the parts with little or no overhead. The dealership has a shop and employees to support and can not compete with the online prices but should be able to offer you SERVICE. You get what you pay for...

True, but not necessarily always. A few posts above you'll see tripalot saying:
"We bought from PPL and had our dealer install at the previously quoted price - no problem. He was happy to at least make some money on the installation."

If it's o.k. What did you end up paying for the set up with the acessories less labor to install your base plates
Thanks
It was just under $1100 w/shipping and no sales tax to Georgia from rvupgrades.com. Items were drop shipped from Blue-OX warehouses for each product ordered. We rec'd all three items(in two shipments as the base plate & accessary kit and towbar came from 2 different warehouses) in less than a week from order date. Very Pleased. My DH and his son installed the Base plate on out 07 Liberty in about 2 hours (and that was taking their time) but his 23yo son is a mechanic by trade.
Aventa LX Towbar Accessary kit item#BX88229 is here http://www.rvupgradestore.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1782
Hope this helps. This was readily the best price that I found on the internet for all items purchased.

Yes, but not from rvupgrades. We ordered the NEW Brake Buddy Vantage SELECT from I think BigDiscount RV as they had the best online price for the new BB product at $1091.
