Our maiden voyage was fun and relaxing, put into practice many tips I learned on this forum, (thanks).

The happy relaxing feeling disappeared some when we got home and I opened the door of the 5er and saw the entire oven lying on the kitchen floor (not just the inerds, the entire applicance gas line and all). A friend had told me to keep an eye on the cupboards and dishes because the rear kitchen models tend to bounce the kitchen around; but I thought the oven being on the floor was extreme, (cupboards and dishes were fine as was everything else no chairs lying over or anything).

Anyone had their oven come out before; are they normally screwed down or into the cabinetry? I’ll be taking it in for warranty repairs obviously but was just curious what went wrong.

Have many thousands of miles on my rear kitchen unit and the only thing that I have had bounce out of place was the shelves in the fridg door, have learned to pack so that it does not happen anymore. Sounds more like factory did not install unit correctly. As long as they back it your problem should be over. Good Luck

Wow sound like someone went on their coffee break before they properly installed the oven. On the bright side, no gas line broke and you didn't explode.

WE owned a rear kitchen model for 3 years and the only thing moved or lost was the handle on one coffee cup. AS previously mentioned the trick is to secure everything. I also would like to know what 5er you have.
