We have a 2006 Jayfeather 25Z that came with the grill that attaches to the side. Has anyone used their grill like this? We are concerned that using it may mark up the side of the camper or the awning. Let us know if you have use it and how it worked.
Thanks

If you're talking about the R-V-Que... we use ours all the time, and love it. It cooks fast, keeps the heat out of the TT, and doesn't need a separate gas supply.
Make SURE that you line the inside with heave duty aluminum foil, or it will be a bear to clean. Cleaning is a snap with the foil... just let the grill cool, then lift out the foil, and throw the mess away.
Happy camping!

Been using our RVQ for a couple of years now and really like it. Have had it blow out a couple of times under very windy conditions but any gas BBQ would have that problem. We use very low fat burgers and don't generally cook hi fat steaks. Don't really want any flare-ups while we're using it, but other than that, it's works very well for us.

I guess I'll be different...I hated it. Took up space under the awning, was a PITA to clean and doesn't get as hot as our current table top grill. I refuse to use aluminum foil when grilling. I gave mine away and never want another one.

have one also, didn't like the way it hung(to high) removed the bar on TT and reattached it lower, now the grease doesn't get in our face, we use it offen. has the quick connect for the gas right below where it hangs.

I just purchased a Antiqua and I told the dealer to keep the grill. I do not know from experience but I will say I am a FF and 2 things that turn me off are: hot grill mounted on a combustible trailer, and to top it off a quick disconnect that is fed with propane which we all know is very volitle( it actually runs from the tanks in front to the coonection on the side). I personally would rather purchase a grill and have it away from my camper. Just My 2 cents.

I have the RVQII on my Jayco and have never had a problem with heat or grease on the side of the TT or the awning. As others have said, it doesn't have the same BTU ratings as other tabletop grills. It cooks a bit slower, but I am not in a hurry when I'm camping and I like to cook low and slow anyway.

I haven't used mine yet, but plan on using it this month on a trip to Niagara Falls. Thank you for the suggestion of lining the lower unit under the burner with aluminum foil before using. That will certainly help cleanup after splatters and drips! It will also help reflect the heat upward to where you really want it.
