Brother in law borrowed the MH to go camping.
It had about 95 gallon of diesel in it. He stopped by his home for the night. He then decided to top it off. Instead of pouring a 5ga jerry can of diesel, he accidentally poured 5ga of gasoline in 95 gallons of diesel. He realized his mistake and called me immediately.
He mentioned he didn't start the engine. It is a Cummins ISC 330.
So what do i do? Can this be driven just fine?
Any advice??

I would call Cummins or a diesel shop for advice. My guess and understand it's only a guess is that 5% gasoline in diesel probably would hurt the engine. but, I've been wrong before too.

Do not start the engine, drain the tank and replace with clean diesel. Do not loan out motor home. JMHO

I'm just guessing that it would be fine.He might drive a little while and stop and put some more diesel in. Hell, you might have the secret to better fuel mileage. I'll stand here and wait for the flames.

Send a PM to wolfe10 and wait for his response. If it were mine, I would have the tank pumped out, filters changed, tank refilled, BIL shot.

If it was winter time I'd say not to worry but with the warmth of summer I'm not sure. I'd crank it up and see how it runs once the mixture gets to the engine. If it does not knock-pre detonate- I'd run it under light load and keep adding diesel as soon as possible. If you have a 55gal drum I'd fill it and top off with diesel and then use the mixture this winter.
This post is my opinion (free advice). It is not intended to influence anyone's judgment nor do I advocate anyone do what I propose.

You'll be fine. For many years before winterized diesel was widely available, we would mix up to 20% reg gasoline in our trucks. It would cut performance by about 20% but would keep it from gelling.

No problem at all. The engine can probably take up to 30% gas without any problems. At too high a level, the cetane rating drops too much and combustion happens too early. Diesel engines can run on almost anything. I run my passat diesel on straight vegetable oil, heated of course. I've run gas mixtures, kerosene, heating fuel, naptha, bio, methanol and so on.
Is the tank full now? If not, add even more diesel to further dilute the gas content, but as it stands you are at 5% or less. I would not even worry at all.
