How is Route 92 or Route 34 east from south of Omaha to winterset, Iowa? Okay to pull our fifth wheel through this area? sounds more scenic thanI-80. Thanks
I have driven 92 from Omaha to Winterset many times, good road even though there are a number of small towns to go through. The Veterans Memorial Bridge from Omaha to Council Bluffs may not be usable by you depending on what you are driving, so you will want to get on I29 where 92 crosses it and take that to I 80 and cross into Omaha there, or I 29 to 680 and cross there depending on your plans.

John didn't have any problems on it.

If crossing the Missouri River over the South Omaha Bridge on L Street to Hwy 92 in Iowa, don't. It has a 6-ton weight limit sign I passed as I crossed the bridge. I'm over that amount by about #1,000 pounds. The I-80 free bridge is just a couple miles north of there. I was taking a shortcut to I-29 from southwest Omaha where I lived, on the way to Memphis, Tennessee.
The Bellevue Bridge a few miles south of the South Omaha Bridge is a toll bridge now. The next free bridge over the Missouri River to the south is @ Nebraska City.

I was in Nebraska City a few years back, nice little town, someone who is looking for a nice little country town out of the way that feel real neat to move to should buy a house and live there 6 or 7 months a year and than go south for the winter.
Highway side of the Nebraska bridge is flooded right now.
275 going to Mo. is closed too.
Highway 34 is nice and smooth. Inlaws live in the area. Been through there many times.
