It turns on like it should and I can feel the heat coming out the top of the vent but who knows if it is helping. The fan on the inside...personally I think is crap. It moves so little air that I can't see how it helps. Two more gadgets in the book, waste of money...not sure.

One thing that I did get that I love is a thermometer so I can see what the actual temp is in the fridge.
