Hubby and I both can without burning. He enjoys it more than I do so I defer to him most of the time.

For some reason I (The husband) get to do all the grilling.

And if it's a special event I may get to do the kitchen cooking as well

Dear Wife is a good "Every day" cook, and she does have a special dish or two for special occaions.. But where as she's a good cook (I have no complaints) I'm more the "Chef" type as I often have to teach her how to do things and when it comes to cooking for a special event.. It is either her 2 standards. Or me and a cookbook and perhaps a couple "improvements"

And the better of her old standbys..... I improved that one day to when we were short on one of the key ingredients.. I figured out how to sub something else and the sub turned out better than the original (What can I say.. I knew what I was doing)

So. Grilling is all my duty... Pedestrian kitchen is her.. Special events I work the stove as well as the grill.

So far in 2 camp cook offs.. I'm 2 for 2 bringing home a prize.. Even though in the last one I was the only MAN to do so!

Me, (da MAN) does all the grilling. I prepare the meat or whatever is to be grilled, start the charcoal, the only way to cook, and handle the cooking. My dear wife gets to clean up the big mess I make, but hey, she got one of the finest meals in the state when I am finished!!!!!!

I do most of the grilling. DW has done some at home. I also do the grilling at My Moms and at the in-laws.

DW has not touched a grill in the 36 years that we have been together. Once she finds something I can and will do, she won't touch it on principle.
