Would anyone with a 2000 or newer Fleetwood gas motor home. That has factory installed 12volt holding tank heaters please tell me where your on off switch is located. Ours has the Ultraheat tank heaters pads on both holding tanks. The fuse panel is clearly marked tank heater. I have looked hi and low and can not find the switch.
Fleetwood says that our coach did not have factory equipped tank heaters, but they are clearly there, and it was an option. The previous owner who purchased the coach new did not have them installed, and did not even know they were there. I think the wires were stubbed in somewhere but the switch was never installed. My guess is that the switch should be somewhere near the monitor panel and hot water, water pump switches. Thanks to all in advance for your input.

Fleetwood would have no reason to lie to you. I have had 3 later models and have never heard of that. The way they place there tanks they probably won't freeze.

I also have no such device on my coach. My tanks are all mounted in the center of the frame and have heater vents from the furnace to those compartments. IMO No need for any other heat source.

I can't believe that anyone would try to keep 20-40 gallons of liquid from freezing in very cold weather using 12 volt heaters. That would suck any battery system down in a hurry!
My Fleetwod has the tanks well sheltered and protected.

We had a '96 Pace Arrow and were down to 10 degrees one time for several days but never had a problem with the tanks freezing. If the inside temp is nearly comfortable you don't have to worry about the tanks freezing.
