THe FMCA convention is a little over a month away. I received an email from FMCA advertising a draw for prizes and offering free 50 amp service if you register before June 23( I think that was the date). I have never had this type of offer from them before. Could it be that advance bookings are down this year?? I know that we just came back from a 3500 mile trip from N.D. to Georgia and back and saw very few MH's on the road. A few "c"'s, lots of fivers but hardly any "A"'s.
I just spent the last weekend with one of FMCA's national directors. He says the registration numbers are impressive for this far out and he expects a very good turn out.

Just got back from the Richmond VA FMCA Eastern Area Rally. It was HOT!! 95 on Thursday, 100 on Friday, 105 on Saturday. The 30 amp power I paid for was down to 106 volts Sat at noon, so we cranked up the genny and cooled down the MH, so the pooch (and DW) would quit looking so miserable. We were parked on blacktop, which was 127 degrees at noon on Sat.
Eastern Area VP told us that 470 MHs originally signed up, that about 30 canceled and another 10 had late registration, but several in my chapter only counted about 350 MHs. My first FMCA rally, so I have little to gauge it against, but I was told that there were a lot less vendors and show coaches than were at the Memphis rally last year.
