I like to see pictures of upgrades to our TC's and the test reports - so heres mine on the Hellwig Rr. sway bar install.

Hellwig has a new hammertone paint finish .

Since the F350 sits so high even loaded the side links should have good ground clearance for off road use.

Well worth the $$ spent - Now handles flat around corners without that back and forth movement around turns.
Handles much better at highway speeds , switching lanes etc , payload on this F350 is 3725lbs , Lance 845 is 3000 + lbs , Rig weighs in at 11,100 lbs +

Did your F-350 have the EOM swaybar already and you upgraded to the Hellwig?

Mk, here's a better question, how the devil does that thing keep from just twisting right around the axle? From the looks of it, it uses a U-Bolt clamp reminiscent of an exhaust pipe clamp and from what I can see in the close up pictures they're smooth.

Another question is, what exactly to those arms attach to up on the leaf spring or are they bolted to the frame rails?

You mean like the same u-bolts that hold the axles connected to rear leaf springs? Or the ones on the Ford axles that hold the rear shock mounts on?

The factory Ford sway bar bracket is also held to the axle with u-bolts, but they don't rotate around the axle due to the flat shape the bracket backs up to. The leaf spring u-bolts don't rotate around the axle tube either due to the spring pads welded to the axle tube that hold the leaf packs in position.

My guess is those locator links don't attatch to the leaf springs. Behind the spring in the picture, they probly attatch to the frame.

I would also like to know if this bar is replacing the factory bar?

My question is, why don't any of the manufacturers paint the driveshafts??? Seems rediculus to leave it bare and just let it rust out from day one...

Mine's painted. Flat black. I know how U-bolts work on springs, there's also a hole in the plate on the axle that the pin from the springs drops into to keep it from slipping. What I didn't know about is there being a flat spot that the bolt catches up in on the other side of the axle. I have a factory sway bar on my truck, but on the front, The sway bar's mounts are bolted to the truck's frame and the little arms then extend from it and bolt onto the axle brackets.
