We am considering a purchase of a 5th wheel by Americana rv, Their website(americanarv.com)is very good.My only concern is they use Forrest River to produce their units. The research we have done rates Forrest River poorly for workmanship and warranty issues. We have stopped at many rv parks looking for a Americana owner to speak to but so far have not found one. Any information about the Americana brand and Forrest River would be a big help for us.
Thanks,

I have a Forest River product and have had no problems with it or their warranty service.

Forest River like many others builds RV's in several different plants. Some are better than others. Personally my Cedar Creek has been trouble free after a very few factory problems were taken care of. Not sure where you are getting the "poor quality" stuff from. But if you look closely at comparable RV's you will find then on par and in many cases superior to other brands. As far as buying from a dealer/manufacturer that does not build his own? I would not do it!

I am like these other posts. My Cedar Creek has been a very good unit. The small issues that I have had (Landing gear) have been taken care of with n o problems. I am not seen an Americana unit but if it is manufactured and serviced by Forest River I would not be that concerned.
