I did a search but would still like to know how good the service is. We just did 6000 miles in the southwesr and midwest with ATT ane got excellent service. Can I expect the same service with Trac phone.

We have used a Trac Phone from Orlando Fl to Detroit. No problems at all. but stopped working when we crossed the border into Canada. It was much less expensive for Canadians to use in the US than paying our roaming and other charges.

We've used trac phone for the past 5 or so years and have traveled from Pa to texas to Montana, Mich, Wisc, Florida, etc. Never found a spot out of reach. We pay about $8 a month on average. Only use it when were on the road and reg phone service at home.

I am considering the Tracfone for emergencies and I am interested in the service provided throughout the desert regions of Nevada and eastern Oregon. Can anyone report on the service performance for these areas as well?

We had too much trouble getting Tracfone service at many campgrounds so dumped it and went with Verizon; much better service and, with the additional cable and monthly service, can get on the internet anywhere the phone works.

Glad this question came up. We now have Sprint and have been having very poor service when traveling. Was wondering what service to go with that we could get decent phone service while traveling. Will keep watching this link to see what most have to say...thanks in advance for any help...

We use Trac Phone all the time while traveling. Not sure about Nevada but it works well throughout Texas Panhandle, Oklahoma and New Mexico. No problems at all. Broke down once between Amarillo and Santa Rosa and worked fine to call my son in Albuquerque.
Good luck.

I am thinking of one because of my high priced Canadian roaming. It may even work in Canada where I live since I am only 3 miles form the border.

I've had track phone since it started. It has better service than some of the other regular services. The above post is the only negative one I ever saw. I don't know of anyone that has dumped Trac phone.
