Several recent threads on this topic. Most outfits pushing the stuff have something to sell.
Until you can find a test report from an independent certified laboratory that supports the concept I would treat all claims with a healthy level of skepticism.
(BTW - if such an official report exists I would love to see it. TV "documentaries" don't do it for me!)

I was wondering about these hydrogen generating systems as well. I guess my question is this. If your engine fuel injectors are designed to inject X amount of fuel every time the piston fires then how will you increase the mpg by adding hydrogen into the cylinder? Are you not still using the same amount of gas? It seems to me a good idea because hydrogen can be used as a fuel but wouldn't you somehow have to slow down the the amount of gas that each injector puts out and then add hydrogen in order to increase your miles per gallon? I don't know enough about how these units work but something just doesn't add up. Does anybody know the answers. Thanks

I would never invest in a website ad.

Like many I would love to see, hear and speak with someone that has tried it.

Surly, someone knows someone that once knew someone that tried it!

There must be something to it. Maybe not on a scale that they pretend to be on but that is a lot of investment and advertising for something that does nothing.

My guess is that it has the same benefit as injecting propane into diesel. It causes a much more efficient burn which in turn requires you to use less of the go pedal.

A note on the injectors, they are regulated by more computer controlled garbage than you can imagine and will regulate how much fuel will be needed to make you go the speed you require. The amount of fuel passing through them varies by a large margin.

So in theory, the hydrogen would work but how practical is another question.

I bought the cd and read it...The biggest problem I see is building the generator to convert the hydrogen out of the water...They are saying that soon these may be mass produced...Also it is like propane so U'll probably need to change the valves.

There's several other options being considered like building motors to run off compressed air-like an air powered wrench...The tanks hold 3000# of pressure so U can go several hundred miles...Tata Motors in India is building prototypes to be possibly released soon in 2008.

A local hardware store friend built a homebrew HHO Generator this month, installed it in a late model Dodge Caravan. He was getting 20 MPG, now gets 30 MPG. Second friend and co-worker helping him is now building his own and putting in his Mini-Van. Will know soon his numbers as he is taking it on a 400 mi roundtrip. After I see his numbers and get back from the big trip next month, then I will stick one in my old 96 Olds Ciera work car for testing. Going to buy a kit instead of gathering parts and totally building from scratch.

Sorry, I won't be able to make the trip to Canada so you can see it and know somone who knows two other someones because I will have used all but two days of my vacation time by then.

It's a 2008 version of snake oil and it's amazing even with internet access people still fall for it.
