Were thinking going up to Wyoming around Devils Tower area in Sept Oct time frame. And was wondering if anyone else has been there in that time period and what the weather is like. Is it hot, humid, cold, rainy, snow. Have been on the weather channel and got average temp of around 73 degrees day 40 night. Whats it like

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Mark Twain

It's virtually never humid in Wyoming - certainly not by our Midwest standards! Could be snow, or could be 70s daytime highs - no guarantee! Occasionally there's a hot year, but by Sept/Oct it should be cooling off. Overnight temps likely to be in the 40s, very nice camping/sleeping weather! (But you'll need a couple blankets, probably. )

Best time of year to visit this area. Any weather that happens will blow over in a day or two.

My daughter lived in Cheyenne for 3 years and had snow in every month. Most, if not all of Wyoming is well over 5,000 feet so it will cool off rapidly when the sun goes down.

Humidity is always comfortable.

The weather throughout the NW is unpredictable. You can have snow or ice anytime. It might last a hours, a day, or a week and boy can it get really cold in a hurry. But, summer is still the best time to go that way.

The range of weather is variable. But look for nice days mostly and cool nights. Wear layers layers layers with a backpack to put them in/take them out. This is one of the best times of the year for that area. You will see tons of animals as they come out of the high mountains where they hide from the summer's heat. The bighorn sheep area is fantastic. You're gonna have a blast!
