I was wondering what everybody is going to do? Sell, shorter trips or just pay it and go?

Pay it and go. We live in an RV for a reason, if we lived in a stick house we would still have to pay to drive on vacation/stay in motel/eat in restaurants...etc
We will continue to travel to where we want to go/when we want to go.
Enjoy

Pay it & go even though we don't like the $$$$. I rationalize it as being just that much the kids won't inherit.

Coach is paid for. We are going to use it. We almost never eat out and never stay in a hotel so the RV is a deal.

Folks, while this is not a new topic we have had some good suggestions offered up from previous threads. Please do not interject political comments since they will be removed. If you want to discuss fuel prices per se then post to the either of the the threads in General or the ATC..but not here.

I will just suck it up, and go! As has been mentioned, I, like many, dreamed of the day when I could retire and travel in my RV. I don't like the high gas prices, nor does my wallet, but, Darn It! I am going anyway!
As a member of three RV clubs, I have seen both growth and membership loss. Our large club, The Dolphins, is losing a few who are selling, or parking their motorhomes. The Happy Rovers, our local club, is growing in numbers! The Lovin' Levelers, is staying fairly steady.
I am sure we will see fewer members and shorter trips in the future as gas prices continue to rise.
To those of you staying "On The Road".........

Our coach is paid for and the cost of fuel, while irritating, will not affect the use of our rig. We use it at least twice a month until retirement day. (not too far in the future)....

We will complain the whole time I fill up. But it will not stop us from using our MH or traveling as planned. We find the enjoyment of traveling is worth the money to us.

1) It still gets better mileage than my house.
2) Some people spend their money on other things - this is what we spend our money on, and will continue to do so. I just get the wife to work more OT.
