If anything, maybe some shorter trips in place of what would normally be longer trips, but not less trips. Otherwise, just paying and going, After all, I didn't buy this thing to be a lawn ornament! (Of course, when I bought this thing, gas was only around $1.75 /gal.!)

Pay and go. For our 2 week vacation this July we will be using every penny of our economic stimulus rebate checks. We went to San Luis Obispo this past week for a Graduation in the family and it seems that plenty of us are out and about. At least here in California. We ran up and down 101 and must have seen at least 50 class A rigs and dozens of big 5 wheels and smaller trailers. Doesn't seem to be slowing anyone down.

Cheers

I don't think it will greatly change my life, however I will tend to run at a slower speed. Reducing speed is generally the easiest way to reduce fuel consumption. With this reduction, it is similar to buying cheaper fuel.

We will keep going! But now we determine if we really need the toad. Have left it home the last two trips and believe we picked up 1/2 to 1 MPG on a 2005 W-22
Workhorse. No need for a car when visiting relatives or some rallies.

Heading out on our first 2200 mile trip Thursday. Not much to think about, it is why we bought it...

Well, leave it to me to be the dissenter. Diesel prices have essentially stopped my coach. Haven't been out in 6 months and don't plan anyhing in the near future. I choose to let it set rather than contribute to someone's outrageous retirement!

We simply

1) Run slower
2) Stay in a place longer
3) Trips to closer destinations

It simply means LESS use of the motorhome, and more use of our new stix/brix house. We were supposed to use our motorhome more, we even became fulltimers.
But, with a quadruple increase in the cost of diesel,.....the decision to quit was pretty much made by someone else.

I am being very careful about my plans. Everything will change according to fuel prices. I will be very very careful, but will not let them steal my fun.
