Ok, mabey I wrong, but this does not seen right at all. I was at our seasonal site this weekend and someone from the capmground came around and handed my wife the electric bill for the month. It was $27 for the month which I thougt was high considering the amount of elec we use.(we never used the ac during this time frame) When we first decide to go there I asked a few seasonal people how much their elec bill was and they said about 20-30 ever two months. Well, I shut everything off execpt the fridge and the meter was still spinning pretty fast, so I told my wife to shut off the frig, meter was still spinning. So I said ok, must be the inverter, so then I unplugged my trailer, meter was still spinning, but very slow, does this makes sence, to spin when the trailer is litterally unplugged all together

Makes no sense. You are being charged for electricity you aren't using.

Something is wrong with the way the meter is wired. It shouldn't move at all if your trailer is unplugged.

I have to agree. If you unplug the rig there should be NOTHING spinning that meter, Complain and request they investigate, Or conduct your own investigation.

Unplugged should stop the meter.

Failing that:
Turn the breakers off and see if it stops.
Is there a heat rod plugged into the circuit to keep the pipes from freezing in the winter? Even that should be off by now but you never know.

Meters do fail, have them ask the electric company to test the meter.

And ask them to adjust the electric bill.

I would do more than talk, I would insist that they come to the site, and with everthing unplugged, ask them have they ever seen anything like this? I am not even plugged in but my meter is running and running up my electric bill. How do you suppose that is happening? Do you think it is right for me to pay for all that electricity when I am not using any? Yes there is something else probably hooked to that pedestal.

I've had the same thing happen to me before. My bill was $250. It turned out to be the meter. At first the manager said there was nothing he could do. I told him the there was something that County Weights and Measures could do .. problem solved!
