Most people with their class A or C rigs with a toad are usually towing something such as a Saturn or other smaller car with good mileage. Sometimes we see someone with more money or, at least, more willingness to spend it, and they'll have something more fancy. One time we saw a Porsche Boxer, on a trailer, being towed behind a quite nice A. Well, this weekend driving north on I-5 from Vancouver, Wa to Bremerton, Wa, we saw a quite uncommon toad. The large A headed north was pulling a trailer on which sat a small helicopter. That's got to be the life!

You have a list of grocery shops with helicopter pads handy?

We saw a few years back on a western trip as well. Looked like a Bell JetRanger but I couldn't say for sure. He was on the interstate headed east. Kaj is right - hard to find a parking place at the grocery store for one, but boy it would be fine for sightseeing.

The interesting thing about the helocopter on the trailer is , if he has the same setup that I have seen, it is really neat.
The guy I met has outriggers on the trailer and he launches the helo directly off the trailer. One that I saw was used for aerial photography. I have also heard of a guy with similar setup that is used to set backfires etc in the woods in the forestlands. He uses little pingpong balls soaked in fuel then when lit it drops to the ground and sets fire in the woods. These are used for control burning of large pine plantations.

I could to some degree understand that "higher forces" consider bus conversions as motorhome Class A on this forum, but classify helicopter as a dinghy?

I saw a Prevost conversion towing a Hummer H1 Alpha this past week...I was in Missouri, plates were South Dakota. Talk about "conspicuous consumption"...
