We are having a problem with the interior lights on both of our slide outs. They are not working. I have checked the fuse panel and none are blown, but then again they are not marked very well either. We have one of the illuminated indicators to tell if a fuse is blown and none are lit. Anyone have a suggestion? We have emailed the dealer since we are away at the New Jersey shore. Every other light is working fine and the slide motors work. The only thing we did different was to use the slide locks for this trip, but that should not have caused any problems. Thanks

I had the same problem on my Cougar 5th wheel, the lights worked fine when we picked it up but soon stopped working. On the Cougar the lights are 12v and the wires run under the slide out, held in place by a spring to help support the cable when extended. When I looked under the slideout I found that wire had pinched against the frame and got sliced. I was suprised the fuse didn't blow but thinking about it now they wouldn't pop unless there was power to the light when it happened.
I cut away some of the insulation and soldered the wires back up and the light worked fine. I also wrapped some electrical tape around it and moved the cable and the spring support a bit to keep it from rubbing against the frame.
On edit I reread your post and noticed you said BOTH slideouts, so now I'm not so sure we had the same issue unless there is a single feed for both.

I have a similar set up to yours and had a problem also. Mine was thhat the spring didn't properly support the wire cables and they rub on the tires during transport burning through several wires. I now have to check that batch of cables each time I put my slide in and I have added a corrugated plastic sleeve over them but even that would not completely protect them if they are dragging on the tires. Both of these are good places to check to start with.

Thanks for the quick reply's. I just looked briefly under each slide and the wires are inside one of the corrugated plastic sleeves. They seem to run down the inside of the slide frame on the larger front slide, that slide had two frames. The rear bed slide they seem to be different. We had a big rain last not, the problem was before the rain, so I want to wait till things underneath the slides dry out a bit on the ground for me to crawl around and do a closer inspection of the wiring harness. I think you guys might be onto something even thou the design is different. Thanks again. I will keep you posted.
My guess is you have circuit breakers, not fuses. Therefore, you could have tripped circuit breakers, but not blown fuses.
You might check your outlets. The one servicing the slideouts may be a GFCI outlet and it may have tripped. It will have a two little buttons on it, one will cause it to trip as a test feature, and the other will restore its functionality after it has tripped.
Problem solved, turned out it was a fuse after closer inspection. Just a note, the light to tell you a fuse is blown only come on if the light switch for that fuse is in the on position. Learned something. Thanks for all of your input.
