We just put another 5122 wonderful miles on our rig traveling from Houston to Maine and back. We used 634.19 gallons of diesel over the course of our 29 day trip which ran from $4.39 in Texas at the beginning of the trip to a maximum of $4.99 in New York and Penn. We set the cruise control for 62 while on the highways and were still passed by the majority of 18 wheelers. We now have traveled 21819 trouble-free miles in our Bounder Diesel and can't wait until we can hit the road again.

Know how you feel.... We did a one-way trip from Maine to Marathon, TX via RI and GA last December. We averaged around 8.5 mpg and are very happy with this lifestyle.

Sounds like it was a great trip for you. An average of $100 a day for fuel will probably look like a bargain in the not too distant future.

Glad you make it safe and sound!! Who cares about the fuel cost, when added to the life experience that RV'ing brings it is irrelevant. We head out in 2 days for Cape Cod for 3 weeks.

Life is good, and do not let the current times get you down. How much would you pay for good health? A lot, so if you have good health, you have EVERYTHING. Make the most out of every day and don't look back!
