I can't seem to find this through a search.

I have a vinyl or acrylic (can't tell which) big patio awning. It gets mildew/mold on it when rolled up too long.

Anyone got a good idea about cleaning the mold/mildew off it? The manufacturer says to use a "natural" soap and warm water, not detergents. What is a "natural" soap?

I have had it pressure washed in the past and it came out pristine, but I don't want to use the pressure washer anymore. Too hard on everything.

Respond quickly! I need to get this job done, and until I come up with a cleaning idea, I will keep sitting around doin nothin.

I use Mr.Clean Magic Eraser (the little white sponge) on the awning and it works terrific; just with water.

We use tilex on the mildew spots. Just be sure you rinse thoroughly.

I use awning cleaner brush it on, roll up awning for 20-30minutes then wash. Rolling it up makes the job much easier.

I have had good success with a Simple Green/bleach mixture. I brush it on and roll up the awning for 10-15 minutes. Unroll and rinse. No more stains.

Another vote for Simple Green. Wet it down, spray it with Simple Green, scrub with a soft bristle brush and rinse off.

This is what we use as well. It's really amazing how well these little sponges work on an awning with very little elbow grease!

Word of warning: DO NOT USE THEM on the side of your RV, it will take the finish right off.

The Mr. Clean Magic Eraser also works great in the shower!

Good tip, Cruzette, but isn't it a little tough on your skin?
